Kratom potentiators?

So this is a question I get quite often. Is there anything I can do do potentate a kratom aroma? Alot of Kratom aficionados claim there is. But is it the result of placebo? — in short, possibly. There is no real scientific evidence to suggest that some of the claims of potenating kratom are true, all we have to go on is the user’s experience. However, since there are clinical studies of other alkoloids / chemicals being effected we can assume some of these claims are true. I am going to list some of the most popular “Kratom Potentiators” that may help you get that aroma burning better!

The most commonly talked about potentiators associated with kratom are

Grapefruit Juice. – It is said to work by slowing down the livers ability to process the alkaloids in the kratom, thus leaving them in the system longer and will make the effects seem stronger too. — Although this is all speculation, it will only work for some and may not work at all for others.

Magnesium, which is sold as a supplement, is a popular potentiator and it can also serve to reduce tolerance when used in the long term, making it possible to use less and less kratom with time. Notably, magnesium does relieve constipation too, but it can actually worsen diarrhea. So this potentiator can actually have negative effects on individuals who are in the process of self-weaning from opiates.

Phenibut is a substance that’s sold as a prescription drug and supplement. It’s used to treat an array of ailments, such as PTSD, anxiety and insomnia, though it’s not an approved pharmaceutical in the U.S. or Europe. It should be noted that Phenibut, on it’s own can be very addicting if used in excess. Phenibut is said to potentiate kratom’s relaxation effects in particular, though according to a number of online forum posts, users reported experiencing nausea and “drunk effects” in some instance

Chamomile Tea serves to enhance the relaxation effects that are associated with kratom. This is actually a very popular potentiator, as kratom can be ingested as a tea, so many mix 1 part chamomile tea and one part kratom tea.Conversely, others open a kratom tablet and sprinkle it into a cup of chamomile tea. (Personally, this Potentiator works best for me, but everyone is different.)

There are a number of different kratom potentiators, but each individual is unique and experiences can vary. Trying different options is one way to find the potentiator that has the most desirable effects on your unique body. — Example — While Grapefruit juice seems to potentiate kratom best for some people, however it does almost nothing for me. The same can be said about those users and Chamomile tea, as it is one of the only things that potentiates kratom for me, personally.
