Red Vein Borneo Kratom
aka. Original Bali.
(Many are confused with this strain and what it truly is, in this article we are going to try to help the Kratom newbie understand the differences in “Red Vein Borneo Kratom” and the other types of Bali’s on the market.)
Red Vein Borneo Kratom is experienced by most as sedative, analgesic and relaxing. The aroma of this Red Vein Borneo arrives slowly and gradually, but can stick around for an astonishing length of time — many find this strain is the longest lasting. We believe that this kratom is best used to help reduce stress, anxiety, fall asleep, and to help those with chronic pain undertake light exercise.
Also known as Original Bali, Red Vein Borneo kratom is the favorite of a great many connoisseurs, and is very much a staple of the aficionado’s collection. There is some confusion when it comes to this strain, as it is also known as “Original Bali.”
An Important note to make about Bali Kratom is that it probably does not come from Bali! (read on) — The trees it comes from are mostly in Borneo. The confusion has arisen because during the early days of kratom export to the west, the traders were shipping the kratom out of Balinese ports, and the name ‘Bali’ was applied to this kratom. Therefore if you see kratom being marketed as Borneo, particularly Red Vein Borneo Kratom, in all probability it’s exactly the same product. Nevertheless the name ‘Bali kratom’ has stuck.
The Leaping Leaf carries a variety of blends based on Bali or Red Vein Borneo kratom strains, in order to provide slightly different effects, and gives them different names which can be confusing at first. However, it’s fairly simple. As an example here are some of the different ways in which Bali kratom can be blended and named;
Maeng Da Kratom
This is beyond doubt one of the strongest and most effective Kratom varieties available anywhere. It is active in amounts as low as 2 grams, which is absolutely stellar for any plain leaf Kratom variety. – MaengDa is a genetically altered version of Kratom who’s potency is remarkably stronger than your average Thai strain sold everywhere on the internet. This amazing variety of kratom is clearly distinct from other varieties of kratom, having serated edged leaves as apposed to flat.
Maeng Da is a variety of Kratom that originates from Thailand. “Maeng Da” directly translates to a word which means pimp in Thai. Like the word suggests this kind of Kratom is very strong and powerful when it comes to the desired effects it is capable of inducing. Although it is important to note that not all Maeng Da Kratom leaves really come from Thailand, since a lot of providers have successfully grown Maeng Da in some parts of South East Asia such as Indonesia and India.
The Maeng Da Kratom strain is considered to be one of the strongest natural Kratom varieties available It has a very potent alkaloids (7-hydroxymitragynine and mitraphylline alkaloids) and effects that rival some of the better — more expensive — extracts that are on the market today.
Maeng Da Kratom is one of our best selling varieties and our customers can not stop raving about its potency. Do not be fooled by the low price, this is true Pimp Grade Maeng Da — other sites charge double or even triple for the same leaf (Or in alot of cases, a leaf marked as PG Maeng Da that SIMPLY IS NOT.) Try it for yourself and see what all the hype is about today!

Kratom Full Spectrum Extract
Many people have been asking me exactly is Full Spectrum Kratom Extract
Full Spectrum Extract refers to extract that does not focus on concentrating any one single Alkaloid or set of Alkaloids, but rather focuses on concentrating all the Alkaloids of the Kratom without affecting the natural ratio of these Alkaloids.
Common Full Spectrum Extracts examples
15x Extract: This is 15kg Kratom to make 1kg Full SpectrumKratom Extract
20:1 Extract: This is 20kg of Kratom to make 1kg Full Spectrum Kratom Extract
In the next section, we will discuss Standardized Extracts which tend to focus on specific Alkaloids rather than focusing on a broad spectrum of Alkaloids
Kratom In Thailand
The kratom tree can mostly be found in the south of the country. Thai Kratom is also called Kakuam, Ithang and, in the south of the country, Thom. In Thai folk medicine the leaf is used for the treatment of diarrhoea and as a substitute in cases of opium addiction. Some villagers use it as an ingredient for cooking.
Kratom Ban in Thailand
Currently, possession of Kratom leaves is illegal in Thailand, despite the tree being native to the country. The Thai government passed the Kratom Act 2486 which went into effect on August 3, 1943. This law makes planting the tree illegal and requires existing trees to be cut down. This law was not found effective, since the tree is indigenous to the country. Today, kratom is scheduled in category 5 of the Narcotics Acts (1979), in the same category as cannabis and magic mushrooms (the least punitive category). A related species, Mitragyna javanica, is often used as a substitute to get around the law, but it is not considered as effective. In 2010, the Thai Office of the Narcotics Control Board has proposed decriminalizing kratom, stating that its use is an integral part of Thai culture. They conclude that decades of unproblematic use, and the absence of health and social harm, make prohibiting the leaf unnecessary and counter productive. According to the ONCB’s report, kratom was in fact banned for economic reasons, not for any health or social concerns:
“In Thailand, kratom was first scheduled for control in 1943 under the Kratom Act. At the time, the government was levying taxes from users and shops involved in the opium trade. Because of the increasing opium costs, many users were switching to kratom to manage their withdrawal symptoms. However, the launch of the Greater East Asia War in 1942 and declining revenues from the opium trade pushed the Thai government into action to curb and suppress competition in the opium market by making kratom illegal
Indonesian Kratom Trees
Here is a little info on Kratom from Indonesia
Kratom in Indonesia:
Indonesia is the country that alot of the Kratom you find online comes from. Did you know Kratom is not even that popular in Indonesia? It’s true, unlike Thailand, Indonesians didn’t really have any interest in Kratom until they found out the money that could be made from it. There is also a common misconception that Indonesia Kratom is weaker. At the beginning, harvesters and suppliers did not have much experience in gathering the right leaves nor did they have knowledge on how to process the leaves well. As a result, a lot of low quality local kratom has been distributed the last few years. By implementing better harvest & processing techniques, Indonesian Kratom can be just as strong, if not stronger then most Malaysian or Thai Kratom. Choice of leaves to gather, propper drying and curing of the kratom leaves all contribute to a better Kratom powder or product. Besides this, due size of the Indonesian Islands, it has much more variety to offer.
